My preferred arrangement is to be near my people or one of my foster brothers. I’m a social fellow and would probably be happiest in a home with another dog, especially because being left behind is not currently one of my favourite activities. I take my cues well from other dogs, including the resident grumpy husky, whose personal-space policies I have read, understood, and respectfully accepted. Boundaries matter, even among gentlemen.

I may look distinguished, but I am still very much young at heart. I enjoy fetch, a good play-fight, and getting out for walks. I walk nicely without dragging anyone down the street, and once the fun is over, I have an excellent off switch. Give me a couch and something worth watching, and I become an accomplished practitioner of Netflix and chill.

I’m still working through some feelings about being alone. I’m crated when nobody is home, and I would like to state publicly that I strongly object to this arrangement. I can also protest when my people disappear from sight, so I’ll need patience while I learn that departures aren’t permanent.

About Me: I’m Florence, and I’m what you might call a soft-hearted girl with a cautious approach to new acquaintances. I don’t fling myself at strangers or make dramatic entrances. I prefer to observe, assess the situation, and decide whether you appear worthy of my trust. Once you’ve passed inspection, however, I become a very different dog: affectionate, snuggly, and extremely fond of pets and kisses.

I can live with other dogs, but I need slow, thoughtful introductions rather than being thrown straight into a canine cocktail party. Cats are much less complicated. I’ve met them, acknowledged their existence, and concluded that they are perfectly acceptable roommates. Children can also be part of my world as long as they understand that sudden movements and enthusiastic bouncing can make me nervous. Calm and gentle wins me over much faster. 

I’m completely house trained, and my kennel is actually one of my safe places. I’m happy to sleep there and appreciate having somewhere quiet to retreat when life feels a little too loud. Leashes, however, remain deeply suspicious objects. Apparently humans attach them to dogs and then expect everyone to walk in an organized fashion. I have not yet received the full operating manual.

I may not hand out my trust like free samples, but when I give it, I mean it. I’m sweet, gentle, and learning that the world can be a safe place. Give me patience, consistency, and room to come out of my shell in my own time, and I’ll bring the cuddles when I’m ready.

She loves exploring and is quite independent. She doesn’t always feel the need to follow the resident dog around because, well… there are butterflies to investigate, goats to supervise, and an entire farm to explore! 🦋🐐 Her recall is still a work in progress for obvious reasons.

Ivory loves car rides and would happily hop into just about any vehicle that comes along. She’s also starting to discover her watchdog voice, barking when someone comes into the yard. But when visitors arrived recently, she was surprisingly well-mannered for a four-month-old puppy.

She sleeps almost through the night in her kennel, sits beautifully for a treat, and has already discovered one of the great joys of puppyhood: stealing socks. 🧦😂

She recently had her vet appointment and, naturally, Ivory needed to know exactly what everyone was doing. She’s curious about the world around her and loves to play, but overall she’s a wonderfully calm and sweet little girl.

Ivory is growing into a lovely puppy with a gentle personality, a curious mind, and just the right amount of puppy mischief.  She’s going to keep her future family laughing — and probably looking for their missing socks! 🐶🤍

About Us: We are the Takeout Litter—a carefully assembled assortment of puppy dumplings, noodles, and one highly decorated commanding officer. We are Shar Pei mixes, which means our family recipe includes some delightfully wrinkled ingredients, plus several mystery components that remain classified by the kitchen. Hello, I’m Lucky, and I am the kind of guy who believes in awareness. I notice things. I notice people, trucks, squirrels, rabbits, leaves that weren’t there yesterday, and sounds that may or may not exist. When something is noticed, I announce it. This is not chaos. Once installed, you’ll notice I operate quietly most of the time, humming along in standby mode while life happens around me. I do occasionally issue alerts for non-threatening situations, but I prefer to think of those as proactive safety checks rather than false alarms. I monitor the environment from a comfortable distance, tracking movement, listening for changes in tone, and performing silent system checks from various strategic locations on the floor. When conditions are stable, I remain unobtrusive and reassuring, the kind of presence you stop noticing because it simply works.

When something triggers my sensors I respond promptly and with volume. Outdoor patrols are conducted on a leash, as my wildlife detection software is extremely sensitive and occasionally overachieves. Indoors, I integrate smoothly into household routines, syncing easily with daily schedules and other approved systems. Obviously, you need me, and I can't wait to meet you!
