Watson and his brother, Crick, were surrendered to the local City Pound when their owners had no time for them. Watson iIs a stockier build than his brother, and his white patch looks a little like a classy necktie! Watson is a friendly fellow who really enjoys his people. He is somewhat of a velcro doggie - he usually prefers to be with his foster mom and follows her everywhere. Watson is a fairly submissive boy and he has been polite with the children he has met. Watson has met with kids as young as four, from down the street and relatives of his foster mom and while he can be somewhat shy with kids - he followed the lead of the other dog in his foster home and made friends, and was very polite! Watson can be shy at times. He does take a little time to warm up to other dogs he doesn't know, but is excellent with them once he passes his initial shyness. He certainly takes his cues from the other dog in his foster home. Watson is also good with the cats in his foster home - he gives them room and doesn't mind if they want to come and cuddle up with him. Watson walks well on leash and has excellent off leash recall. He is not a huge fan of car rides, and takes some coaxing to get in the car. Watson knows how to sit, down and stay - he has wonderful manners. He will sit and wait for his foster mom to go through the door before he goes through. He also sits for his food (although he does a few quick jumps while the food is being prepared!) Watson doesn't jump up most of the time - he is actually very polite and waits to be acknowledged by visitors before he asks to be patted. All in all, Watson is a very affectionate and loving fellow, who will make someone a very loving companion. Indoor Home Only!)
