Tuck is an adorable little chubby pug x chihuahua who has recently come into rescue. This little guy is a very loving and affectionate little dog, who loves to snuggle, cuddle and tuck into any corner he can find! Tuck is great with people and older children, and he is quite friendly with other animals. Tuck has lived with other dogs and is great with them - he can be shy when meeting a new dog but he warms up after a short while. Tuck met cats for the first time when he arrived in rescue, and he is fine with felines. Tuck loves food - and he will gladly help himself to leftovers when the other dogs don't finish their meals. As a result he is very pudgy and he does need a home where his weight can be worked on. Tuck will walk fine on leash when he's in the mood - and if he isn't, he does protest. Tuck isn't a very active fellow, and it would be good if he could be encouraged to get up and at 'em. He is a low key little guy, whose joy in life comes from cuddling and snuggling. Tuck has a couple little quirks that anyone interested should be aware of. The first is that he will growl if someone attempts to move him when he is comfy. He is not snappy and it seems to just be him grumbling about being moved - he's never done anything more than growl. Tuck is housebroken but he does have one other quirk. The other problem Tuck has - and the reason he was surrendered to rescue - is that he marks in the house. Despite being neutered at 8 months of age, he seems to want to mark in the house and this includes anything new his owners would bring into the house. He is not a dominant dog but the marking has been an issue. All options of a medical problem have been explored to no avail, so this is a behavioral issue that will need some work to correct. Once Tuck has entered our foster program, we will update his description with more information. (Indoor Home Only!)
