Shao (pronounced Shy-oh) is a big, sweet love bug who has come into rescue to get a real second chance at life. This big fella is extremely friendly and loving. He is excellent with kids, cats and other dogs - he really is very happy to spend time with just about anyone! Shao was living on a farm and decided to follow a couple young boys into town. Once he knew where all the action was - there was nothing anyone could do to keep Shao home. This big fella is excellent off leash, as long as he has people around. If left outside unsupervised, Shao will wander away in search of people. The fellow needs to be supervised outside - we have found he is even difficult to keep in a fenced enclosure. Shao does not deserve to live tied out, and he is amazing off leash if he has people with him. Shao does need a human companion when he is outdoors, or he will leave in search of one. Shao is a big sweetheart, and it's hard to believe he was almost put to sleep as a result of his wandering behaviors. Outside of this quirk, the big guy is absolutely wonderful! Shao is gentle and very sweet natured. He is fostered with other animals and a pre-schooler and Shao loves them all! He simply adores kids and wants nothing more than hugs and snuggles. Shao does like to be outside and would like a home where he can spend time outdoors. Shao is also a little on the thin side, and he could stand to put on a little bit of weight. Shao is very gentle and sweet, despite his big size. He is not yet neutered but he is scheduled to go in shortly. More information to come once Shao is set-up with a foster family! (Indoor/Outdoor
