 Shade is a gorgeous girl who was surrendered to rescue when her owners were unable to continue to care for her. This young girl has not had a lot done with her, so she will need some time and training. Shade is a timid girl, and she does not have a lot of world experience. It takes a bit of time to earn her trust, as Shade isn't an overly confident girl. Shade seems to respond best when you get down to her level, and although it takes a bit to gain her trust - she a very nice little dog! Shade is going to need some time and socialization. She seems to be okay with other dogs, but can get annoyed if the other dogs become overwhelming. Shade is not the best candidate for an overly playful pup, and she would not do well in a busy household.She is not trustworthy off leash and will run if given the opportunity, so she would do best with a secure yard. Shade does not have very good recall off leash, but she is still very new and we are still getting to know her. This could improve when she has time to bond with someone, but we can't make any guarantees as she is a nervous girl. Shade is housebroken and has been asking to go outside. She did have some accidents at night initially as she was settling into her foster home, but this is no longer a concern. Shade is a dog that needs a little time and work, but she's worth it! She's simply striking and Shade seems to try really hard to make sure everyone is pleased with her. We will update her description as we get too know more about her. (Indoor Home Only!)
