Sayuri just can't seem to get a break! This beautiful gal is back in rescue, and has been returned to rescue a few times. She is a very loving girl, who came into rescue initially from the city pound. Her name Sayuri (say-ur-ee), is Japanese for "small lily." Sayuri looks very much like a Shepherd, and
the only hint of Husky are her outstanding baby blues! After showing her picture to someone breeds Belgian Malinois, we have to wonder if that could be her breed... Sayuri isn't an active dog. She is actually quite laid back and easy-going. She is a shadow to her people, following them everywhere - even waiting patiently for her handler outside of the shower. Sayuri is a people dog and she LOVES everyone she meets. She is excellent with both adults and children - and wants nothing more than to just be with them. Sayuri is very affectionate and loves nothing more than cuddles and attention. Sayuri is a real people dog who is loyal, and charming too! Sayuri is an easy doing in many ways and would be great for a beginner. She is already trained - well mannered in the house, housebroken, crate trained, trustworthy loose in the house and she knows some commands as well! She is ready to be a part of a family and bonds quickly and closely. Sayuri gets along with most other dogs, but she does like to be the queen bee. She is excellent with puppies, and is always very accepting of them. Sayuri can not go into a home with cats. She would be happiest with a family where she could be the one and only, as Sayuri is all about her people. She can be a real ham, and will roll over for her people at the hint of a belly rub! We have had a number of comments come back that Sayuri looks bigger in her pictures than she is - so please note that she is actually only around 50-55lb which is often considered the high end of the medium category, and the lower end of the large category. Sayuri is such a lovely dog, you couldn't ask for a more loyal and affectionate companion. She has really captured the hearts of everyone who has known her during her time in rescue, and we just know she'll capture the hearts of anyone who meets her too! (Indoor
Home Only!)
