Sailor is one very cute little dog, who is looking for a family with some time and patience for him. He was rescued by a family out in Alberta, just before they moved to Manitoba. After having Sailor a while following their move, he was surrendered to rescue because his needs exceed those his rescuer's could meet. Sailor is a shy little fellow who warms up with a little time and patience. We are told he is quite fearful of men - especially those with deep voices. Sailor may be shy with people at first, but once he settles in - he's got quite a bit of energy! This little fella can literally jump onto the kitchen counters, despite his small size. Sailor is surprisingly athletic and energetic! This little guy has some basic training, and he is also both housebroken and crate trained. Sailor has a foundation, but he really needs training beyond this. He does need somewhere to "put" all that extra bounce, and would greatly benefit from further training... Please do not apply for Sailor if you are simply interested because of his small size. He does need some work on his nervousness, and something to do with that extra spring in his step. Sailor seems to be fine with other animals, but he is a little shy with all newcomers!
