Ronin is new to rescue and has come into our care after some time in a near by rural municipality pound. Ronin is a very affectionate boy who has a happy and carefree personality. Ronin is playful and very loving - a pretty amazing feat for a dog that has been wrong as he has. Ronin took a bullet - and he's lived to tell the tale. This sweet fellow came into the pound acting as if he had been hit by a car. It seemed he needed more extensive care, and was taken into the vet by a relative of the owner of the kennel he was staying at. After he was x-rayed the problem was located - a bullet in the jaw. The bullet has since been removed, and Ronin is actually doing very well. He is a tough boy and he really has an outstanding temperment - he hasn't let this situation impact his personality at all! Ronin is quite athletic and active - and he just loves to play. He seems to be fine with other dogs, and we have not tested him with cats just yet. Ronin is a thick, stocky built boy - he may have some cattle dog mixed in with the collie... We aren't sure, but the end result is one very cool dog! Ronin seems to have some trouble with his larynx, and has a tendency to snuffle and sneeze sometimes. The vets have recommended a harness or head halter for Ronin, as the pressure on his neck seems to bother him. We are still learning about Ronin, and do not have a ton of information on him just yet! We'll update his description shortly, once he has gotten settled in with a foster family and we have a bit more time to get to know him. (Indoor Home Only!)
