Robin is a cute little girl who started out as someone's pet. Over time, she was left to fend for herself and this little dog managed to get tough out the extreme weather and found food through kind neighbors. Over the last couple years she has had a few litters of puppies, and many of them did not survive. Being a small, short coated dog, Robin is not designed for Manitoba winters! She was eventually turned over to rescue, and will now have a chance to be the pet she started out to be. Despite her rough start - Robin is an outstanding dog! She is completely housebroken and she does well in a crate. Robin's foster mom has been leaving her loose in the house more recently, and she has done well loose in the house as well. Robin likes to sleep with the children in her foster home, and seems to really like kids. Robin is not into toys and really doesn't have a lot of interest in playing - she has decided being petted is her ultimate goal in life. Robin is a quiet girl, but she does get excited when it's time for a walk - whimpering, grunting and barking with excitement. Robin also enjoys the company of other dogs - but she could take them or leave them, and is really much more interested in people. Robin is very sweet and affectionate. She is great with the cats in her foster home, but she has made a few attempts to play with the felines in her foster home. Robin show no intent to harm them. She's really much more worried about being part of the group, part of the family and sharing in the activities of the household. (Indoor
