Description Last Updated: June 19, 2010
Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Corgi/Lab Blend - Neutered Male - 1 year old (Born February 2009)
Height: 12-13" | Weight: 30lbs (approx.)

Raven is a sweet little boy who has just come into rescue. He is a short fellow with a long sturdy body, and he is friendly and happy little boy. Raven is full of pep and he has a wonderful nature. He is a young boy who loves to play and really enjoys his toys and chews! Raven loves to play fetch and will drop a bone or ball without hesitation. He is learning quickly, and Raven has mastered sit and down. He is excellent on leash and understands what "heel" means. Raven does need a secure yard as he will escape through spaces in the fence. He used to bolt when gates opened, but this has improved and his recall is pretty good. Raven is excellent in a secure yard or in the crate when no one is home. He is completely housebroken and well mannered indoors. Raven does submissive pee if his leash is clipped on indoors, and his foster mom has resolved this by clipping the leash on outside. Otherwise, he has no issues with submissive peeing. Raven gets very excited about walks. He doesn't bark much, except if you take too long to get your shoes on when it's time for a W-A-L-K. Raven is excellent with other dogs but he has not been cat tested. He adores people of all ages and is very friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets. He is excellent with kids, but does try to "herd" them at times when he plays with them. He has learned to not nip at ankles when he is trying to herd, and his foster mom says he has made drastic improvement. Raven does not go on the furniture in the house and even goes to lay on his bed during mealtime! He is an outstanding dog who has excellent manners and is quite well behaved. He is an excellent family pet though, and he would be an excellent addition for a family looking for a loving little dog! (Indoor Home Only!)
