Quake was adopted when as an adolescent from Funds for Furry Friends, and he has recently been returned to rescue through no fault of his own. Quake is a wonderful dog with outstanding manners. He is quite an obedient fellow who knows how to sit, down and stay when asked. Quake has a lovely temperment - he is affectionate and very eager to please. He is completely housebroken and was even taught to ring a bell tied to the door when he wants to go outside! Quake is well mannered on leash, but does pull a little when he is excited. He does jump up when he greets new people, but he settles quickly and is back to four on the floor once the initial excitement passes. Quake is an active dog, and he will be happiest in a home where he gets frequent walks and playtime. Quake is a herding dog and he will get bored if he has nothing to do. Quake is crate trained. He can be left loose in the house for short periods of time, but will chew if he is left too long and gets bored. Quake is a fun and friendly guy. He is fantastic with other dogs - his former family had him at the off leash park often, and while he adores other dogs, he does sometimes annoy other dogs, trying to herd them while they are playing. Quake is good with cats, especially when other dogs are around. If there is no one else to play with, he may try to convince a cat to play with him. Quake does like children and he was living with school-aged child before his return to rescue. Quake is good with kids and he would do fine in a home with children provided there is time for him in the schedule. Quake will need regular exercise and someone prepared for a dog that is active and playful. Anyone willing to put time into this fellow will get a lot out of him! Quake is a wonderful boy!
