Patience is a very sweet young girl that came into rescue after she was picked up stray near Dauphin. After a short time in the pound, Patience found her way into rescue and she turned out to be one great little dog! Patience is still very much a puppy and she is all about play. Patience is really good with other dogs and was formerly in a foster home with a large number of cats - so she would do fine with a few felines around. This young lady really wants to be friends with every other dog she meets, and she doesn't always understand if they do not want to play too! She would do very well in a home with a dog that likes to play! Patience is completely housebroken and she will bark to ask to go outside. Patience pulls a fair amount on leash, which is really amazing as she was only walking on three legs for quite some time! Patience was hit by a car after escaping on her wheelchair-bound owner, and she lost use of her front leg for a period of time. However, she has made a full recovery, and if we didn't tell you - you'd never guess! Patience has made some great improvements with her skills on leash, and while she still does pull - she is improving and is starting to understand how to heel. Even though she is quite highly strung, she is loyal, smart, and incredibly sweet once you get to know her. She does seem to experience some anxiety adjusting into a new home, but once she settles in - she is a lovely girl to have around! Patience may have been treated harshy in her past. Her foster parents have noticed she flinches if you raise your hand near her. She does learn to trust and adjusts, given just a little time and patience. This young girl really does love to play - but she has a very loving and affectionate side to her as well. Patience loves nothing better than an opportunity to cuddle up with someone and have her ears rubbed! Patience is such a sweet, loving dog and she would do quite well with a family that can give her regular activity - she needs people who can keep an even keel and consistency in training. She would be an easy fit in almost any home - she really is a wonderful girl! Patience does have a very short coat, and she does need to be an inside dog. She adores other dogs and would do very well in a home with another young, playful dog. All in all, Patience is searching for someone that really wants her to be a part of their life!
