Orchid came into rescue after she was left in a box outside the doorstep of a local organization. She was picked up and taken into the pound - and found her way into rescue quickly after. Orchid is a friendly and outgoing young girl who adores people and wants to make friends with everyone. She's a little bulldozer who is fearless and enjoys rough-housing with other dogs. Orchid does get carried away at times, but her foster mom says she corrects easily and responds well when she is told "no!" As a matter of fact, when she is corrected, she often feels the need to walk over and give everyone a big kiss - you know, just to make sure everyone still loves her! Orchid's foster mom calls her "kid" for short. She is quite the little shadow and sticks close to her foster parents when she is outside. She does love to play, and quickly makes friends with other dogs. Orchid bonds quickly and closely with people, and she seems to be very eager to please. She can sit and is quite willing to work for a cookie! Orchid is a smart girl and she learns quickly. A little time spent training will reap great rewards, as Orchid has a lot of potential! Her housbreaking and crate training is coming along quite well. Orchid's foster parents let her outside frequently and she seems to be catching onto the idea. She does have a hard time leaving the other dog in her foster home alone when they are outside - as far as she is concerned, every second of the day it's time to play! Orchid is a typical puppy and she is learning all about being a dog! This young girl would be happiest in a home with another dog and she would LOVE a playmate. She would be a great companion for a playful dog - or a very tolerant cat (ha ha - she is curious about cats and does poke at them a lot, but has shown no intent to harm them.) All in all, this young "kid" is quite a cute little girl, who is fun, fearless and full of life. We will update her description soon when she has spent some more time in her foster home! (Indoor
