Help Needed - Rescue Short on Supplies
Last Updated: November 4th, 2008
Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

In the last few weeks, Funds for Furry Friends has taken in a litter of 8 boxer puppies, a litter of 8 shepherd mix puppies and a litter of 5 black lab x retriever puppies - along with a 3 lone abandoned kittens, and two litters of 4 kittens. It is unusual to have babies when the snow falls but somehow we have wound up with 21 pups and 11 kittens in the last month!

Along with the pups, we have had four major medical issues over the last month - cruciate ligament surgery for Anabelle, stomach surgery for Sadie, along with our two major megaesophagus cases - Skipper & Cruiser...

The rescue averages 30-50 dogs in rescue at any given time, and nearly the same numbers of cats. With the unexpected extra babies and special needs dogs - we are in overload and our supplies are disappearing faster than we replenish them!

We are in great need of the following items:

  • Toys and treats for puppies
  • Things to chew - bones, chews and kongs
  • Old newspapers and cleaning supplies
  • Dog Foods - we accept all kinds of dog!

If you can help us out with any of these desperately needed items, please drop the items by Pet Value in the Corral Centre - Suite 10-825 18th Street North. (Map) or contact us at 204-573-8333.
