Height: 19-20" | Weight: 45lbs

Molly is a friendly mature girl that has recently made her way back into rescue when her former owners were faced with unfortunate circumstances. Molly is a friendly girl but she is a bit of a nervous dog. She is curious but cautious about new things. Molly is a very typical hound, nose to the ground and she is not good off leash and will follow her nose to Arkansas if she has the chance! Molly is a very nice dog, and she is very social once she warms up. Despite her breeding, Molly is NOT a hunting dog. She is terrified of guns and she will panic and hide if one comes into view. Molly is also great with cats (she ignores them) and other dogs. She is a little unsure when she meets new animals, but warms up when she realizes they want to be her friend. She may, however, tree a squirrel if given the chance - and then you will hear that true hound bayyy. Molly is a bit of a skittish dog - she is good with children but we would prefer a home with older kids (12 and up) for Molly. Typical of the hound breeds, Molly loves food. She can be a little grabby with treats. Being a hound, Molly also loves to "sing" and can be a vocal girl. She can be a couch potato and is quite laid back - she is quite content to lounge around the house and spending most of her time snoozing. Molly does have some training under her belt - she knows how it sit, down and heels on leash. She is very polite and never jumps up on people. She is very responsive to her people and seems to really enjoy the company of humans! Molly is also housebroken and she is trustworthy when left loose in the house. Molly loves car rides and she loves to curl up on the bed or couch and just hang out! The only quirky behavior that needs mention regarding Molly, is that she does get protective of her people when she is sleeping in or near their bed and will bark and growl at any intruders - this can be an issue if she is sleeping the the bedroom and has owners going to bed at separate times. (Indoor Home Only.)
