Mia was surrendered to the Brandon City Pound when her owner had to move. This 11 year old girl is absolutely striking. Mia is a beautiful girl and her thick white coat is so plush, she is a dog you just want to pick up and snuggle! Mia is right on the cusp for the minature size class for an American Eskimo - so she is a large minature or a small standard in size. Mia is an intelligent, active and alert dog - true to the nature of her breed. Mia seems to take her cues from other dogs and will bark when they bark, and relax when they do. Mia can be a little shy and timid with new people, but she does warm up with only a little time. Mia is a senior dog and she would be best suited to a home that is quieter. Mia likes other dogs, and she is interested and curious about cats, but she does not seem interested enough to bother with them. Mia would be best suited to a home with older children, due to her age and slightly nervous nature. At eleven years old, she is - of course - housebroken, crate trained and well mannered indoors. She is surprisingly spunky for an older girl and Mia does seem to have an active mind and she does enjoy going for walks. We would love to find a quite home where Mia can go for lots of walks and enjoy a little TLC on the couch during a good tv show. (Indoor Home Only!)
