Mary found her way into rescue with very little time to spare. Mary and her mother, Celeste, were picked up stray in the RM of Daly. The RM office contacted the rescue and were kind enough to hold the dogs over the holidays to ensure they could get safely into rescue. Mary is a very gentle girl who has not had a lot done with her in her young life. She is polite in her approach and has a very gentle nature. Mary is doing quite well on leash, and seems to have overcome her initial hesitance on leash. Mary is a soft dog, who is very content and quite most of the time. She is content to sit by your feet and just be where her foster parents are. She likes attention but waits for it to come to her. Mary is very well behaved. She is friendly and affectionate, but does cower a little when she is uncertain about things. Mary seems to like other dogs, and she shows absolutely no interest in cats. She does not even want to meet them. She is a sweet and quiet girl who needs a little confidence boost. Mary is completely housebroken and is well mannered in the house. She sits quietly on the couch for the most part - she loves to play and also enjoys snuggling on the couch. Mary is a very loving dog who does not ask for much or demand much from her people. She adores teddy bears and de-stuffing them is one of her favorite activities! Mary loves to chew her toys, and has gotten into occassional mischeif when looking for chew toys if she's left loose alone. She is excellent when crated - and Mary has been marvelous in her crate. (She even goes in and lays down on her own when she wants a little time to herself!) Mary is excellent in the car - she is content to lay quietly and enjoy the ride. While Mary is a content and easy-going girl most of the time - there is one thing that makes her very happy - dinner time! Mary gets very excited when it's time to eat - but this has significantly improved. Mary is a very sweet girl and she has won everyone over who has taken the time to see just how sweet she is!
