Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Cocker Spaniel - Neutered Male - 5 years old (Born August 6th, 2006)
Height: 15-16" | Weight: 25lbs (approx.)

Lewis came into rescue with his sidekick Antonio when his previous owners developed severe allergies. This guy has a personality that is one of a kind! Lewis is a well rounded boy who would do well in a single pet home or with a friend. While he's a smaller boy, there is nothing small about his confidence and he can certainly hold his own if a larger dog is trying to push him around. Lewis enjoys the company of most dogs he meets and although he had never seen a cat until he came into rescue, and this gentleman was totally respectful of them. He was raised in home daycare environment and is exceptional around children. Lewis loves kids, but they do tend to get him quite worked up and excited. For this reason we think Lewis might be better in a calmer quieter home. He is very social and friendly with everyone - but would be best with a calm dog or older kids. Activity tends to wind him up, and Lewis can be very active around young kids and young, playful dogs. Lewis is totally housebroken and hasn't had a single accident since his arrival in his foster home. Lewis also seems to have a good handle on basic commands and is quite a smart boy! This fellow loves to chase lights and this behavior is a bit obsessive! Lewis even gets excited when a sunbeam shines through the window, and he does need a bit of redirection where this obsession is concerned. We suspect this started as a game but has escallated to a point where it is a very obsessive behavior that should not be encouraged in any way. He is very cute and is a must see in person! Lewis does pull a bit on leash when he gets excited - usually around young kids or playful dogs. He can walk very well when he is not over excited by playmates, and would do well with a quieter, calmer dog or walking on his own with people. He loves to go out for walks and out to the dog park to play. He is quite a happy boy who would make a great addition to any home! (Indoor Home Only!)
