Josie came into rescue after a stay at the local city pound. Although her owners were contacted, they declined to pick her up. Their loss is our gain, as Josie is a very sweet little girl! She is a friendly and spunky girl who is always on the go. Josie is very curious about the world around her and easily occupies herself taking in the sights and smells around her. Josie loves to play and is still very much a puppy. She does jump up and needs some work on leash as she is very strong and does pull quite a bit. While it appears her attention span is the problem - Josie really knows how to focus when she is asked! She can sit and down on command, and her response is almost automatic. She is an intelligent girl that just needs some exercise and a little manners work to make a really wonderful dog for someone! Josie is housebroken and she is quite well mannered indoors. She is great with other dogs and does not bother with cats at all. While Josie is a friendly girl that is good with older kids, she might be a bit much for really small toddlers, as she jumps up and can get very playful - she could easily knock a small child over without meaning to. Josie is a lovely girl and she is a going to be an outstanding pet for someone with a little time for training! Josie is learning a lot in her foster home - but in the meantime, she is searching for that very special forever family! (Indoor Home Only!)
