Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Lab X Plott Hound? - Spayed Female - 3 year old (Born in 2006)
Height: 21-22" | Weight: 55lbs

Jada has returned to rescue after two years. Her owner has returned her with great regret, as he is heading off to Afghanistan. When Jada came into rescue a couple years ago, she was a very thin and very frightened girl. We barely recognized her when she was returned! Not only has Jada filled out this beautiful dog - she has also really come out of her shell! She is very friendly and social with people. She can be a little shy with some men, but has really gotten past her timid personality. Jada has not had much exposure to cats, and we are not certain how she would do with cats. Jada is questionable with other dogs. She does not get along with most of the dogs she meets, but seems to pick out certain ones she likes. This big girl is best suited to a home where she can be the only dog. Jada had been exposed to childen and she seems to love every human she meets. She is a very muscular dog and has been kept very physically fit by her former owner. Jada would love a home where she could get lots of exercise. Jada would love to live in the country and we would love a home where she could sleep inside and spend her days handing out on a farm or acerage. We are told Jada learns boundaries and does not wander far - although she does like to roam her territory. Jada is a fence jumper and she can really get a lot of height - she can easily jump an eight foot fence. Jada loves the outdoors but she does not have a coat that can handle 40 below weather. We would consider an outdoor home for Jada provided she had heated area where she could be contained to spend the nights - especially in the winter. Jada's housebreaking is fantastic and she is very well mannered in the house. (Indoor/Outdoor Home Considered!)
