Huck is a a well mannered and friendly fellow who is actually quite laid back for a lab. This fellow is solid black from head to tail. He has a beautiful gait and is a very good looking fellow. Huck loves people and is a very friendly boy. He is very good about keeping all four on the floor - but he does pull on leash a little and is always happy to meet new people. Huck loves to travel and is excellent in the vehicle. He'd be ideal as a trucking companion because he can handle long car ride and is quite laid back most of the time. Huck does like to play, and while he is a great with medium and large sized dogs but he too rough with cats and small dogs. This fellow isn't as high energy as his breed is typically, but he does love to play with other dogs and has his playful moments. Huck understands downtime and knows how to chill out too. He loves dog bones and is content to chew one endlessly at your feet. Huck has a wonderful temperment and he is quite an affectionate boy. His foster mom calls him "the caboose" because he always follows along behind. He is quite well behaved - and while it did take a couple days for him to understand what the crate was all about, Huck understands "bedtime" and will go into his kennel without a fuss. Huck likes kids and he has great manners, but there are moments where he is clumsy, and he may knock over a small child by accident when playing. Huck is a very friendly and good natured boy. He would be happiest in a home where someone had lots of time and attention to give, as Huck is a very affectionate fellow. He is happy to go with the flow and would settle into any situation with ease. While Huck is quite laid back, he still needs his exercise and loves going for walks. He can get playful now and then - Ringo and him were best pals when both dogs were out at the kennel, and the two played together lots! Huck is excellent in the car and is an easy fellow to handle. He is a lovely dog and this fellow would make a really great and loving companion. (Indoor Home Only!)
