Henry is new to rescue, and he is one very handsome young guy! He was rescued after he was abandoned by his owners, and was eventually turned into the pound. This young boy can be a bit shy in new situations, and it does take him time to adjust to new things. He has been learning very quickly in his foster home and knows how to sit and stay when he is told. He will sit and wait politely for his food and leaves the other dogs
alone when they are eating. Henry is very good with the dogs in his foster home, but has been shy when introduced to other dogs. He has also been excellent with the cat in his foster home after the initial interest and excitement. Henry is working on his crate training and he settles after a little initial complaining. At night he sleeps on a dog bed and settles well. Henry is a smart little guy and he is learning very quickly in his foster home. He has picked up a lot from the other dogs and really follows their lead. Henry is housebroken and he has been polite in the house. Henery is still teething a bit, but seems content to chew on a chilled
carrot or a stick/bone and has not shown a tendency to inappropriate
chewing. Henry is great off leash and tends to stick very close. He seems to be a bit more confident off leash, which probably comes from the time he spent loose alone when he was abandoned by his former owners. He does walk on leash, but does get nervous in new situations and tends to either dig his heels in or pull away when he is in unfamiliar surroundings. Henry does need someone willing to give him a little extra patience, but anyone willing to do so will be very pleased with this sweetheart! (Indoor Home Only!)
