 Gilligan is new to rescue, and he is one cute little guy! This little fella has a typical terrier temperment - he thinks he's a lot bigger than he really is. Gilligan really is quite the character. He lives for attention and will do what he can to get it. He is a happy little guy when he is getting lots of pets and lovin' - and when it stops, he paws a gentle reimder to "keep it coming!" Gilligan is a dog that likes to be handled - he is happy to be picked up and carried around. This little goof is all about snuggling and cuddling and is quite a couch potato. While Gilligan is a great little lap dog and a very loving companion, and he bonds extremely quickly and closely with his people. Gilligan is a one person dog, and we have seen how much he does bond since being in a foster home. In very little time he became very attached to his foster parent, and while he accepts the other people in the household - he really is a one-person dog. Gilligan is foster with a cat and he really doesn't bother with felines at all. He is good with other dogs, but really prefers smaller dogs to bigger ones. Gilligan would do best as an only dog, as he can get a little jealous when it comes to that one special person he calls his own. Gilligan would also not be ideal for a home with children. He would be the perfect dog for an older single person who was looking for a life-long companion and a buddy to snuggle with. Gilligan arrived in rescue in June, and had a single, isolated seizure in July. Gilligan did not have another seizure until the very end of November. While his seizures are VERY spread out, they do seem to last several minutes. Even though he has only had a couple seizures, and a four month gap between them, we have opted to put him on phenobarbs as a preventative. Gilligan is a cute and comical little dog who is looking for a home where he can be the center of it all! (Indoor Home Only!)
