Fluke is a very mild mannered fellow who has recently come into rescue. He arrived in our care after spending some time in pound, waiting for his owners to come. Fluke is an older fellow, and he has a calm and laid back demeanor. He is a dog that is pretty clear about what is expected from him and is quite well mannered. He is excellent with other animals, and Fluke does well with both cats and dogs. He is a little shy and reserved at first, but once he settled in - he's a wonderful fellow with a very affectionate side to him! Fluke seems to be somewhat hard of hearing, and he does startle easily. For this reason he would probably do better with older children, as younger kids tend to move quickly and sudden movements often catch Fluke off guard. Fluke does well off leash, and isn't a dog that has a desire to gallop off into the sunset... He's an older boy that seems to be happiest sticking close. Fluke is a pretty content dog who is just looking for a little love. He has had some problems with his ears, which were in rough shape when he first arrived in rescue. They may have gone untreated for some time prior to arriving in rescue - we have treated them and they are doing much better. We have also learned Fluke has some arthritis in his spine, and he is on medicam for it. Fluke is quite an easy boy to have around. He is housebroken, but Fluke has had occassional accidents in foster care. All in all, this fellow is a very nice boy with a soft, gentle temperment. (Indoor
