Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Blend - Neutered Male - 1 year old (Born Feburary 2010)
Height: 18-19"| Weight: 50lbs (approx.)

Fetch is a busy young boy who would love a home where he has a job to do! He has the traditional activity levels associated with both of his breeds and he has a fair bit of extra energy, but when it comes right down to it, hes a big teddy bear at heart! Fetch is a stunning tri-colored boy with one wonderfully thick coat. Fetch loves to be outside and would fair well in an outdoor home with proper shelter available to him. He sticks close and likes to be where the people are. Fetch does get excited and silly, but he knows how to settle too. He is an active dog who needs a home where he will get lots of exercise. He has tons of training potential with a good starting foundation. He can sit, down and shake-a-paw too! He didnt have a lot of leash experience when he first arrived in rescue, but has been learning. He tends to pull on leash when he is excited. Fetch has done well with other dogs in rescue, but he does tend to play rough. We have found he does best with other dogs outside, and has had some issues with other dogs indoors. Fetch does need a home without cats. True to herding breeds he comes from, Fetch does like things that move fast he has quite an instinct to herd. Fetch is a busy fellow who really needs something to do with all of that energy. He is quite lovey-dovey too, and he melts in your hands when you pet him. Fetch is very affectionate and loves to be touched, patted and played with. He is actually quite submissive with people and rolls over for belly scratches every chance he gets! Fetch has had a lot of visitors since his arrival in rescue, as he is a stunning dog. The most common concern is that he will be too much for younger children and his energy level and tendency to run without looking could be a problem with young kids. Fetch loves people of all ages, but his silliness gets the better of him when hes excited. He really is a big sweetheart and Fetch is still just a young dog. He is smart and catches onto new things quickly Fetch loves to play games! He could make a great working dog with some time and training, and has real potential for sports too. However, he hasnt had that training yet Fetch would be a great dog for an active home with someone interested in working with and training him. (Indoor or Outdoor Home Acceptable!)
