Cara is an adorable little girl that has just arrived in rescue. She is a very loving and affectionate little lady who really loves people and attention! Cara is full of kisses and snuggles - and is one hard little dog to get pictures of - she's a wiggle-worm! Cara thrives on attention and really gets excited when she realizes the attention is on her. She is a busy little bee, always looking for something to do - someone to play with! She needs a little leash work as her excitement to meet new people and see new things seems to get the better of her! This young girl is in great shape and was clearly well loved and taken care of. Cara is trained - her former owners say she will even knock at the door when she wants out! She does have some training and can sit, down, stay - and even knows what "leave it means." Cara is crate trained and is used to being crated in her former home at nights and when she is left alone. Cara does like to bark, but she will stop if a pop can with pennies in it is shaken. Cara loves to be outside - she enjoys playing in the yard and going for walks. Her recall is not always very good and she comes when she wants to. Cara's former owners said she does need to be reminded who is in charge sometimes - she does like to test the waters. She would not be suitable for a home with young children, but does well with older kids. Cara is an extremely active girl who does demand a lot of attention from her people. Even with ample exercise, Cara seeks constant entertainment and will start to get into things without it. Cara is currently fostered on an acerage and she does so well in this environment - we do feel this is ideal for her. She would need to be part of a very, very active household to live a city lifestyle. Cara also needs a home with at minimum one other dog - she simply would not work as an only dog. Cara just loves to play and she can keep up with the big dogs! Cara is always on the go and she will require a home with a canine companion capable of keeping up with her! Our preference for Cara is a home that includes an acerage and another dog. Please be advised that Cara is NOT a non-shedding dog. (Indoor Home Only!)
