Cairo is a loving anf affectionate shepherd mix who has made her way back into rescue after being adopted for about a year. She was returned due to no fault of her own, but rather as a urgent personal situation that forced her owner to return her. Cairo is a bright girl who is housebroken, and she understands how to sit, down and shake-a-paw. She is excellent off leash and is very eager to please her people! Cairo is a real people-dog. She adores humans, both big and small. Cairo is very loyal, loving and affectionate with humans, and she makes friends with new people very easily. Cairo is overweight and she does need to loose a few pounds. She does pull on leash, but not excessively. Cairo needs exercise to correct both her weight and to get her leash manners in check. Cario is a pretty laid back girl, and she needs the activity despite her low-key nature. She is completely housebroken and does best loose in the house. She is not terribly fond of being confined to a crate. This is a girl that likes to be queen and she is used to being the only dog. Cairo can be dominant with other dogs, but she would be a suitable companion for a laid back dog willing to allow her to continue wearing her crown. Cairo is not good with cats and she would be best in a home without cats. We are told she is great with livestock, and just ignores them. Cairo is a dog that really needs a family, and while she might be bit much for a home with younger kids (as she does not like to be hugged and squeezed tightly), she does enjoy older children and would do well in a home with older kids. Cairo is a social girl who really loves people - she she is looking for a home that will lavish her with love and attention - and somewhere she can get lots of exercise too! (Indoor
Home or Outdoor Home Acceptable!)
