Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Maremma Sheepdog X Collie - Neutered Male - 1 year old (Born in March '08)
Height: 24-25" | Weight: 75lbs Approx.

Brewster came into rescue from the local city pound, and this fellow has really come a long way since then in rescue! Brewster is a simply striking big fella who originally lived as an outside only dog. Brewster used to work for a local towing company, and he was used to guard the lot when no one was around. True to his guardian nature, Brew seems to have the utmost respect for his handlers, and looks to them for direction when deciding how to respond to strangers. He already has a natural drive to work and guard, and he would be well suited to a situation like the one he has come from. Brewster was in a foster home for a while and he is actually a very well behaved boy. When allowed inside, he is well mannered and clean in the house. He is very smart and understands many commands - he can sit, down and stay. While Brewster is great at warding off unwanted visitors, he is very sociable with other animals. He was good with other dogs and Brewster is simply fantastic with cats! Brewster would need to be in an enclosed area - he would not be suitable to be loose in a yard. Brewster has a very thick coat in the winter, and he is very well suited to living outside. Brewster was previously fostered in a home with a small child, and Brewster seems to understand which people are part of his family. He is great with his humans - and does take direction well. Brewster needs a home with someone that is dog experienced, or needs to find a place in an environment like his previous one (in a towing company) where he can use the skills he already has to keep trespassers out! (Indoor Home or Outdoor Home Acceptable!)
