Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Border Collie/Terrier Blend - Spayed Female - 6 years old (Born in 2005)
Height: 15-16" | Weight: 30lbs (Approx.)

Boots is back in rescue after three years in an adoptive home. Boots is still as sweet as ever and she seems to still be as loving and affectionate as she always was with people. Boots is not a very big dog - she is only about 30lbs and Boots is a border collie that is likely mixed with a smaller terrier breed. Since Boots went into our foster program, her foster mom has found she bonds extremely well. She absolutely loves going for walks - and while she gets a little excited when her walks get started, she quickly finds her rhythm and gets into a groove. Boots has not had a lot of formal training, but she is well mannered and catches on to new things easily. Boots does know how to sit, and she has excellent house manners. Boots loves being with people and she is very clean and polite in the house. She is completely housebroken and does not need to be crated. Boots is great in the yard and she loves to watch squirrels and birds go by! She also loves to run in the yard and really enjoys playing with a ball. Boots really enjoys car rides and is excellent when travelling. In many ways, Boots is the perfect dog. She is loving and affectionate with her people, and is very well behaved. Boots has been around smaller kids with no problems, and would do fine in a home with children. This sweet girl is just amazing with her humans, but she is not fond of other animals and we feel she would be ideal for a home without other dogs. Her foster mom has been working with her to socialize her and Boots has been moving in great strides. She now has two friends - a cocker spaniel and a lab (formerly adopted from Funds for Furry Friends) that she has learned to accept. Her foster mom is continuing to work with her to help socialize her - but we aren't ready to recommend a home with another dog just yet! While Boots isn't too interested in cats, she might do okay with one that was quite and laid back. Boots would be happiest where she can have her humans all to herself, and for someone without other pets, this medium-sized girl is simply an outstanding dog. (Indoor Home Only.)
