Boots is back in rescue after three years in an adoptive home. Boots is still as sweet as ever and she seems to still be as loving and affectionate as she always was with people. Boots is not a very big dog - she is only about 30lbs and Boots is a border collie that is likely mixed with a smaller terrier breed. Since Boots went into our foster program, her foster mom has found she bonds extremely well. She absolutely loves going for walks - and while she gets a little excited when her walks get started, she quickly finds her rhythm and gets into a groove. Boots has not had a lot of formal training, but she is well mannered and catches on to new things easily. Boots does know how to sit, and she has excellent house manners. Boots loves being with people and she is very clean and polite in the house. She is completely housebroken and does not need to be crated. Boots is great in the yard and she loves to watch squirrels and birds go by! She loves to run in the yard and really enjoys playing with a ball. Boots really enjoys car rides and is excellent when travelling. In many ways, Boots is the perfect dog. She is loving and affectionate with her people, and is very well behaved. This sweet girl is just amazing with her humans, but she is not fond of other animals. Boots is looking for a home where she can be an only pet. She does pull towards and bark at other dogs when she is on walks, and will bark at other dogs going by the fence when she is outside. While Boots does not get nearly as worked up about cats or squirrels - she is not particularily fond of them either. Boots would be happiest where she can have her humans all to herself, and for someone without other pets, this medium-sized girl is simply an outstanding dog. Boots would be ideal for a single person or an older couple that are looking for a smaller dog to love and dote on. (Indoor Home Only.)
