Border Collie X - Spayed Female - 10 months old (Born Nov 15 '08)
Height: 13-14" | Weight: 35lbs (approx.)

This cute little girl has grown up in rescue. Bolero was one of seven border collie puppies, born out in the cold in a nearby rural community. She came into rescue at only a few days old, along with her siblings - and her brothers and sisters have all since moved on to their forever homes. Bolero is waiting for her turn! Bolero was born November 15th, and is now 10 months old. Although she looked very similar to her siblings, she was always the easiest puppy to pick out, because of that big smile - and to this day, that happy face is one thing that makes Bolero the dog she is! Bolero is one very happy girl. She is extremely social and loves everyone she meets - wiggling and walking over with a submissive and gentle hello. Bolero is fantastic with other dogs. She is happy to play second fiddle, and really loves to have another dog to lead her. Bolero has bonded very well with the other dogs in her foster home, and she must find a home with another dog to play with. This little lady is always on the go, and another dog keeps her busy and happy. She really enjoys playing with other dogs. Bolero has been raised in a home with a cat and while she occassionally runs after the cat, she does this more for the sake of running with someone, than she does to actually chase the cat! She quite prefers to play with someone who wants to play back! Bolero is a very smart girl, and she has already mastered sit, down and heel with her foster mom. She has a very active mind - she is smart and interested in new things. She learns quickly when there is she is presented with new ideas and with a little direction, she could be an amazing agility dog! She would be best suited to an active home, as Bolero is social, outgoing and very playful. Until recently, we were aware only that her mother was a border collie, but we were uncertain what dad was. As Bolero has grown, we are now fairly certain that her father was a shepherd. She is a herding dog, through and through. This young girl is a slender dog, and this is partially due to a long time bladder infection she had as a puppy. This did set back her housebreaking, and while Bolero is mostly housebroken, she does have occassional accidents. Her foster mom is working on this! She is crate trained and is very good in her kennel. Bolero has also learned to not bark in her foster home, and she is generally a quiet girl. She does jump up a fair bit and this area is a work in progress! All in all, this little lady is very cute, bright and nice natured. Bolero is a sunny and happy girl, who is always all smiles! (Indoor Home Only.)
