Bijou is an absolutely adorable little smooth coated collie mix that was picked up "at large" in the city of Brandon. He spent several days at the pound waiting for his owners to come, and was taken into rescue when his time was up. This little fellow was very frightened at the pound, but since coming into rescue we have learned he is quite a little snuggle bug. Bijou is a very docile little fellow and right now he has proven himself a shy and quiet little boy. This may change once he has had some time to settled into his foster home. Bijou does like to chew and he is teething quite a bit right now. He is not a rowdy or nippy pup - he is actually very gentle and sweet. This little fellow is still learning the ropes and still requires some housebreaking work. Being a puppy, Bijou still has teeth coming in and he is going through a chewing phase at the moment. Bijou is also doing a lot of puppy nipping at present and does need to improve his manners in that area. While he is quite settled and cuddly in his foster home and loves the adults and children - Bijou is still very shy with strangers. He takes a little time to warm up to new people. While people make him nervous he and he adores other animals. He would not be a good candidate to be an only pet, beacuse he is so docile and shy - he really takes his lead from the other dogs in his foster home. We are looking for a home with another dog for Bijou. This little boy is absolutely adorable and is ready for a forever home. (Indoor Home Only!)
