Barnaby was rescued from the local city pound and he is a wonderful dog! This sweet boy made a big impression on everyone, and has stolen a lot of hearts! He is smart and is so eager to please, he wants nothing more than to be a "good boy." Barnaby is great on leash and he walks well with a training collar. He also quite enjoys car rides and does very well on both short and long car trips! Barnaby is a good dog with a very pleasant demeanor. He was surrendered to the pound by his owners for playing too rough with the other dog in his household. While Barnaby is fostered with both dogs and cats - he does need reminders as he does tend to get carried away playing. It is all in good fun - or he thinks so anyway. His foster parents feel he would be an excellent only dog, and that he would be an excellent boy for someone looking for a companion on the farm - as he loves to follow along. He is fostered with a dog and cat currently, but Barnaby often needs reminders to settle when he is getting silly and playing. Barnaby is a very happy fellow, and he loves everyone he meets. He has a warm and affectionate side. Barnaby is very well mannered in the house and does not need to be crated. He has free roam of the house and yard, and is very well behaved. He is quite well behaved and doesn't get into trouble. He may get into the garbage if it was easy to access, and does have a weakness for cat food if he can get into it! He would be an excellent companion for older kids, but because of his exuberance playing, he can be a bit much for younger kids. Barnaby loves to sleep by the bed, and he isn't an early riser and is happy to sleep in. This fellow is very sweet, and he's a very sharp looking dog - a real "must see" in person! If you are looking for a loving companion that is obedient, well trained and likes to play - he might just be the dog for you! Barnaby would love a family to call his very own... (Indoor Home Only!)
