Baloo is a big, sweet goofball with a lot of personality. This big fella really believes that everyone he meets is going to be his new best friend! Baloo is a VERY happy dog who has a lot of extra bounce in his step! This big boy loves to run and play. He has excellent off leash recall, and spent some time fostered on an acerage, where he did extremely well. Baloo loves to be outside, but is happiest to sleep where his family is. He is fantastic with other dogs and just loves to play! Baloo is also very good with cats - he simply ignores them. This fellow is a total clown - he's permanently happy and has such a wonderful temperment. Baloo would love a home on a farm or acerage where he can be the active and playful boy he is. If he was to live in town, he would need a very active owner. Baloo also loves to swim and is a real water dog! When he first arrived in rescue, Baloo was jumping up on people a lot - we have seen some big improvements when he is properly exercised. Baloo does have an issue with livestock though, and is boarding again after being in a foster home, when he began acting aggressively with the livestock (alpacas) in his foster home. While he is fantastic with both cats and dogs, Baloo does need a home without livestock - Baloo's foster mom was extremely disappointed with this development and did try to work with him on this issue. She enjoyed him in every other way. He is completely housebroken and has excellent manners in the house. Baloo is a wonderful boy, who is a lot of fun to have around.
