Alvin (Border Collie) - Adopted!
Description Last Updated: May 14th, 2009
Those who ask what difference does it make saving just one have not witnessed the joy of the one who is saved!

Border Collie - Neutered Male - 1.5 year old (Born in November 2007)
Height: 16-17" | Weight: 33lbs (approx.)

Alvin is a fairly sociable, friendly fellow. He was seized from his former home by court order, and was transported for intake into rescue. While, like his brothers, Alvin has not had much done with him - he seems to be very adaptable and is much more outgoing than his brothers. He is very open to this world where his dinner is served by humans, he gets a warm bed to snuggle in, and he is really getting the hang of this leash thing! Alvin is very curious about the world around him, and he is much more ready and willing to try new things than his siblings. Alvin comes from great working lines, and while he has not had any training to work - he has real potential! Alvin lived his early years on a farm where he was exposed to other animals, including livestock, other dogs and barn cats. He really seems pretty social. Being an outgoing fellow, Alvin is a little more talkative than his siblings. Alvin can be vocal and knows how to get your attention! This fellow is adapting quickly and easily to his new life, and Alvin would adjust easily to an indoor home or an outdoor home. Alvin will need some training and a little work to direct him - but with a little direction and time, this fellow is an interested and curious fellow, who really just ended up in the wrong situation, in the wrong home. Alvin has a lot of personality, but he is soft and gentle. He enjoys being around people and seems to be very eager to please. He is young and friendly, and would make a great pet for anyone with a little time for training! (Indoor Home or Outdoor Home Acceptable.)
