Alloy is a very sweet and loving boy who came into rescue after over a week at our local pound. We are not sure who would leave a dog like this behind because it's quite obvious someone did spend some time with this fellow. Alloy is a brilliant dog! He can perform several tricks on command - he can sit, down, shake-a-paw, beg and he even knows how to "dance" on his hind legs for a treat! Alloy has a nice personality and he is very eager to please his people. And Alloy loves people - big and small! He is excellent with children and has a very friendly and social personality. Alloy would make an excellent family dog and he quite enjoys spending time with kids. His foster mom says he really enjoys is when kids try to "catch" him and is not at all intimidated by noise or commotion of children. Alloy adores other dogs and he really loves to play. He gets along quite well with other dogs. He is good with cats too, but will chase cats outside if they run. Alloy has spent some time on an acerage, and he is good with horses (it took one "hint" from the horses for him to understand to give them space.) Alloy's recall is quite good, but he is a border collie and is attracted to things that move quickly. He ignores cars for the most part, but does get interested once and a while if a car flies by. If he went to a home on an acerage, he would be best away from any major highway. Alloy is well trained and has excellent house manners. He is completely housebroken and is crate trained too. Alloy is a fun dog who loves to play with toys. He is a bit of a collector, and enjoys gathering toys into a neat little pile in the livingroom! Alloy is quite a playful fellow who would be happiest with another dog that would enjoy his company and playful, fun-loving nature. This fellow is very sweet and he's a ton of fun too!
